Blue Exorcist Season 3’s First Teaser Unveiled; New Visual & More

With many well-known anime getting sequels or reboots recently, Shounen Jump’s overlooked title Blue Exorcist/Ao no Exorcist finally getting a proper sequel after nearly 7 years. The manga is been ongoing since 2009 on a monthly basis and has sold over 25 million copies. That should tell the popularity of this series. After the disappointing season 2: Kyoto Saga, adaptation by A-1 Pictures, it was pretty much forgotten. Now with Studio VOLN taking the helm and Hiroyuki Sawano composing the OST, things are looking promising. The studio has done some great work including “I Want to Eat Your Pancreas”. Hopefully, Blue Exorcist Season 3 titled Shimane Illuminati Saga will finally get proper care. Season 3 is set for January 2024.

Blue Exorcist Synopsis

Set in a world where humans and demons reside in a parallel, separated from each other, twin brothers—Rin and Yukio aspire to be exorcists to fend off the demons causing harm. Having the blood of satan running through their veins, they face many challenges and mental dilemmas of identity, bond, and friendship. Demons invade the human world by possessing people or objects and the exorcists engage in a supernatural battle to expel the demons. Rin and others face encounters that result in emotional and thrilling moments.
